The North American Association of Floor Covering Distributors is gearing up for its 37th annual meeting and third annual Distributor Marketplace. Set for Oct. 29-31 near Chicago, the event aims to offer distributor professionals the chance to learn the latest business tips and network with their peers.
"The NAFCD Annual Meeting and Distributor Marketplace is an avenue of opportunity that fosters the exchange of ideas and solutions ,.. Currently, it is the only event of its kind in the floor covering industry," the trade group said.
This year's show will feature a keynote by Randy Merritt, prsident of Shaw Industries. He will outline the ways that Shaw is addressing the current economic downturn and offer insights into the industry at large. Other speakers slated to present include: HR expert Meagan Johnson, Harley-Davidson's Ken Schmidt and Jason Bader, who will discuss recent research regarding the distribution industry.
