The Atlanta International Area Rug Market is expanding. The
market, set for July 13-16 at the AmericasMart complex in downtown Atlanta,
will feature sizeable showroom expansions from companies including Chandra
Rugs, Imperial Rugs and Tamarian Carpets among others. The show aims to offer
“the world’s largest single collection of area rugs,” according to show
organizers.
“Buyers shopping the market will
have access to a product mix unmatched in the area rug industry,” AmericasMart
said. “More than half of all exhibitors will offer their merchandise
exclusively at AmericasMart.”
Additionally, the show will see the
return of the Retailer of the Year Awards. The annual awards aim to honor “the
most innovative rug retailers in America,” and give AmericasMart exhibitors the
chance to nominate their favorite companies. The ROY ceremony will be held 5:30
p.m. July 14 at the Georgia Aquarium.
